# aws\_caller\_identity

Use this data source to get the access to the effective Account ID, User ID, and ARN in
which Terraform is authorized.

## Example Usage

```hcl
data "aws_caller_identity" "current" {}

output "account_id" {
  value = "${data.aws_caller_identity.current.account_id}"
}

output "caller_arn" {
  value = "${data.aws_caller_identity.current.arn}"
}

output "caller_user" {
  value = "${data.aws_caller_identity.current.user_id}"
}
```

* `account_id` - The AWS Account ID number of the account that owns or contains the calling entity.
